How Is a Chip Seal Performed?

This pavement surface treatment combines a layer of asphalt, sprayed by a computerized spray unit, with a layer of aggregate (rock) spread by a chip spreader machine. A roller is then used to roll in the rock, followed finally by a fog seal spray.

Depending on the condition of your current roadway, it may be necessary to prepare the surface prior to chip sealing by patching large holes and/or sealing large cracks.
